Pros

I read the Glassdoor reviews almost 3.5 years ago before joining RB. Knowing no company is perfect I was willing to take on the extra responsibility (and maybe lack of process/balance) to enjoy a dynamic, non-bureaucratic, and results oriented global organization. That is exactly what I got. Two countries and three roles later I've been stretched as individual, added value back to the organization, and worked with some great people.

Cons

Being dynamic sometimes means being reactive. It's a double edge sword. It's a competitive advantage in terms of reacting to competitor and consumer needs, but as an employee (especially one that likes to be organized and in control) you can find it hard to plan and execute in the more formal sense. You need be comfortable with ambiguity and quick decision making.

Pros

Pay is okay, and better if you're willing to work shifts. Work is interesting, and plenty of training is provided. Opportunities for advancement do exist.

Cons

The culture at RB is dominated by short-term thinking. When problems arise, the only solution that is considered is one that provides an immediate short term fix. The factory managers can be very demanding, often wanting results "yesterday", and frequently resort to threats when they can't get their way. Very little thanks are given when thing go well, so our primary motivation is to avoid a rollocking. Morale is rock-bottom.

Pros

A great company as a whole. Ownership level is off the charts, you will learn more in a year's time than you would in 10 in other companies. Leadership charter changing internal direction to more respect for others

Cons

Certain departments lack authentic leadership, still managing by brutal tactics instead of embracing the leadership charter
