Pros

good pay, some* great colleagues

Cons

RB is like the former soviet union - run by people with no clue and top jobs only given to friends or people in the clique. Hypocrisy reigns amongst the T400 and especially the T40. Anyone outside the T400 is cannon fodder - only there so they don't have to work. Forget evenings and weekends - I was even expected to work up until midnight on Christmas Eve. The culture is broken short and simple.

Pros

A very fast paced organisation always looking to drive the business and share holder value aggressively. Their obsession with stock price is a key reason why they dole out stocks to senior talent. Extremely agile and willing to change and adapt to drive short term gains. Multiple opportunities for exposure to senior management

Cons

Senior management is very reactive and this reflects in the frequency of reorganisation- twice in 2 years. This stems from their short term focus and lack of long term thinking- this bodes a serious threat to the business. All the current success is a result of brand building done decades back— nothing even mentionable in the present. Most importantly, RB lacks people orientation. They are willing to sacrifice and punish people for business. There is a clear lack of ethics and dignity in the way they treat people. Top management is just interested in ensuring that they get their stock grants every year, at ANY cost. They way they are handling the current restructuring goes to show how they treat people. So unless you are desperate for a job, avoid RB with a barge pole.

Pros

Quick promotions Great name on your resume (recruiters are constantly calling) Better maternity leave policy than any of its competitors

Cons

Poor work/life balance Used to be work hard, play hard. Now or is just work hard. No training or onboarding Too focused on cost cutting Too much time wasted on internal reporting and building ppt decks instead of executing strategies The company does not care about its employees. The turnover is crazy high.
