Pros

Company culture seems to be good at first, but not followed internally

Cons

Lots of politics and bottlenecks with work...I would not recommend if the person does not have least 8-10 years experience.

Pros

Salary and unlimited vacation - if it's approved

Cons

Environment is very cliquey. The company is filled with young engineers and managers looking to make a splash in the industry, but the inexperience shows. Timelines are regularly missed, partly due to normal issues but typically due to unrealistic expectations by management. Management is out of touch with what is happening under them and do not know how to properly communicate with employees effectively.

Thank you for sharing your perspective with us. We’re sorry that your time with us wasn’t all that you hoped. The pace here is exceptionally fast and planning realistically is still an iterative work in progress. We know all too well the domino effect ambitious deadlines can have, which is why we are working vigilantly with leadership to identify areas where we can improve communication and collaboration within and across teams. We very much appreciate you spending a portion of your career journey with us and hope your new role is fulfilling. Thank you, The Rivian Team.

Pros

Good benefits - health, dental and vision. Unlimited PTO

Cons

There is a similar culture here like that of another notorious company located in Los Gatos California, they hire quick and fire fast. There are people in the organization that somehow had no experience but got promoted and barely do any work.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m sorry to hear your Rivian journey has come to a close. As Chief People Officer, I’d have a hard time disagreeing with your advice. Setting clear expectations up front and investing in guidance and support are key to setting people up for success. One of my goals is to help Rivian build deeper competencies in these areas. Good luck in your new role! Thank you, Helen.
