Pros

I would say unlimited PTO, but you might not have your job back when returning from vacation. The company is growing rapidly so even if you exercise this perk, there are consequences. The perk is there to keep the company competitive.

Cons

If an issue arises and shared with your manager or HR, you will be retaliated on. This all depends if the person you are having a conflict with is favored. The company structure looks strong, but the people in it doesn't know what they're doing or do not have the backbone to stand up for themselves in fear of retaliation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. As I’m sure you’re aware, I joined as Chief People Officer at the end of 2019 with direction from RJ to ensure that our values not only consistently permeate the company, but that they also appropriately evolve as we scale. You’ve raised a very serious concern and we would like to have an opportunity to investigate. Though I can see you are a former employee, please reach out to anyone on the People team so that we may be able to learn more as I can assert that retaliation of any kind would never be knowingly tolerated here. Thank you in advance, Helen.

Pros

good benefits, unlimited PTO (if you are willing to fight for it) , flexible hours , young engineers are truly talented and hard workers

Cons

CTO hiring his friends, not competent people, lack of automotive industry experience, lots of politics and unhealthy competition between teams, directors play along just to please their VPs but no proper management to their teams. CEO has no experience, he is just a brilliant mechanical engineer but can't run a company. plans are not realistic and company is over committing. no proper software testing is being done, no proper software processes are being carried out (although they claim they are agile). no one is willing to invest in you or put down a career path for you. no consideration for employees when moving to Palo Alto, the company only focus is on hiring new people but they don't mind current employees leaving

Pros

Lot’s of funding. Generated lots of excitement outside the company.

Cons

Horrible culture and politics everywhere. Worst HR I’ve ever seen.
