Pros

Seriously, I wish I could say something objectively great about the company compared to any average tech company out there in the US.

Cons

Management doesn't care about employees. We don't get full bonuses even if the bonus pool is more than 100% and our productivity is also more than a 100% (yes, thats right). Raises are 1%, 1.5% and maybe 2%. Incredibly low compared to industry average. And any ideas you have are pointless as they're most likely going to die at the manager level. If you want to pursue another team or position within the company it's incredibly hard, politically and because they only want to hire from outside.

Thank you so much for your review. It's unfortunate to hear of the issues with management. The mission of our leaders is to drive innovation, but we want our employees to enjoy what they do.

Pros

The company has a broad portfolio of products and with the recent acquisitions is attempting to move to the cloud aggressively through enhanced customer incentives. There are very smart, drive people that passionately care for their customers success. The transition of what SAP is going through is painful as a result of the legacy of our past but broadly there is commitment that it needs to happen

Cons

THE MD of Canada operates like a complete dictatorship. He states he has a open door policy as long as you concur with his view, if you do not he will make your life completely unbearable. He has stated openly in meetings for people to be fired, as recently as this week where he commented that a person should be fired as his travel budget was high in-front of a group of 51 colleagues, would you want to work in this environment? The Canadian culture has been completely destroyed and yet nobody in SAP America's seems to care. A HR leader in the US openly asked why it was so challenging to hire good talent in Canada, but nobody would answer because if they provided a truthful answer, it would go straight back to the MD and their career would be over shortly. The only option they have is to put their resume out on the street, which is what is happening now at every level and department. SAP Canada has not made their financial target in years, including 2014 and yet nobody holds the MD accountable. With the way the culture is now in Canada, there is no way Canada will come close to their 2015 budget. They say in hockey, when there is challenges, it is easier to fire the coach then the team but in SAP Canada's case, it appears we have chose to fire the team. I beg anyone looking at this that until this changes, please do not come to SAP Canada.
