Pros

Good to start as undergrad, Good work/life balance, nice colleagues, good location, leading-edge and diverse projects, easy to move up since talented people quickly leave the company

Cons

By far the worst management I have ever experienced: no respect for employees, no recognition for any good work, very greedy: one must fight hard to get 1% salary increase, HR unprofessional and unskilled

Pros

Big company with a general recognized and respected name. Strong push on R&D expenses for a tech leading position. Not so much stresses at employee level, no dramatic expectations on hitting/failing project targets. Nice work environment and co-workers.

Cons

Completely lack of any HR policy on workforce development. Salary review out of any real world results during past 12 months, just your boss trying to desperately build a wall over your reward expectations after years and years of hard work.. Definetely the right place if you are just waiting for 5PM to back home, not to develop your career.

Pros

Good culture. Understanding of time off with family, good benefits and salary. Decent bonuses, sometimes.

Cons

Lousy raises for the past several years. Few stock grants available. Multiple changes in senior level management and organisations with no cognisance of the devastating effects said changes will add to design in terms of risk, cycle time, and general errors have virtually guaranteed an environment where poor quality will be the norm. Promotions based more upon politics and schmoozing than on technical competence and management ability, and the results of this are showing, will only get worse with odd reorganizations underway.
