Job security is good in general; you can have a good work-life balance; not too much pressure and you can enjoy the flexible work environment.
Cons
The challenge is normally you cannot find challenge easily here; in general it's difficult to find passion in your work, so I won't recommend it to young people with ambitions and energy.

Pros
Learned a lot from the projects and coworkers. Work environment was really good. Salary and bonus were competitive. The coworkers were very nice.
Cons
The management was not very efficient. Too much office politics. It took a long time to get promotion. Pay too much attention to the educational backgrounds.

Cadillac healthcare, Pension plan, competitive pay equals a great long term employer in the Americas. Flexible and lean organizational structure means the employees define a lot of what they do.
Cons
Some job functions are poorly defined, and Italian culture trickles down into the Americas (not always in a good way)

The Bristol site was a really positive working environment for the most part, providing an opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects. The working environment was very pleasant and colleagues almost universally helpful and engaged.
Cons
Concerns over the strategy and direction of the business, for example projects cancelled very late in the schedule, strategy decisions taking a very long time causing inefficiencies, and poor anticipation of market needs.

When you work at STM, you got the opportunity to access a very interesting domain of technology. Every day you are learning something new ... the work environment is cute and friendly.
Cons
Some projects arrived in a critical path and you find yourself working under stress (project value : some Million of dollars). Hurry up, do your job quickly but do it correctly ...
