Pros

There are so few that it's difficult to meet the twenty word minimum. Paychecks arrived via direct deposit. Health benefits are average (health, vision, dental insurance) They occasionally supply "free" food (junk food like pizza, while executives often have catered meals) New contractors receive office supplies (which can be scavenged by permanent employees when the contractors are dismissed).

Cons

Low wages vs job responsibilities. Pay periods and actual net pay are determined by a system designed to confuse. Payroll and HR and surly and/or uncooperative. Cross-product training falsely inflates the number of analysts in the queues while doubling the workload of those analysts with no pay increase. Insurance rates are very high. Extremely poor work-life balance. Upper management cares as little about the quality of their software and happiness of their customers as they do about the plunging morale of their employees. There is no defined path for advancement - just constantly changing goals.

Cattle mentality for call center employees

Pros

Stable employment, they rarely lay off call center employees Casual dress code (sneakers, t-shirts)

Cons

No room for professional growth. You can be stuck answering phones for years before a promotion opportunity comes along. Sales engineers are usually the first people to be let go when there is a layoff. Annual "raise" is a joke. Consider yourself lucky if you even get 2-3%, some years you may not get one at all. Call center employees are overworked and underpaid for what they do.

Never been more miserable and traumatized than at Sage Intacct

Pros

Leaving was the best thing I've ever done for my mental health

Cons

I cannot begin to describe how traumatized I am from my time at Sage Intacct. I have never felt more psychologically unsafe and emotionally abused than at Sage Intacct. Management not only tolerates but rewards things like public humiliation in meetings, escalating behind your back, and aggressive, demeaning shouting at singled-out individuals during meetings. The culture is built on constant criticism, blame, and angry aggression. Every mistake is treated as a personal failure, even mistakes caused by unclear processes or shifting expectations. None of it was "feedback," it was public humiliation and bad-faith criticism that chipped away at my confidence and sense of self-worth until I walked away as a broken, defeated, and traumatized person. I am coping with real PTSD from working at Sage Intacct.
