Hi and thank you for taking the time to send us a review. We really appreciate the positive words you have said about Saint-Gobain. We appreciate the feedback and suggestions you've also given which is really important to help us improve. The hiring process can be a little different depending whether you are an internal or external applicant and on the role and manager. I'm really pleased you manage to secure the role internally. Thanks again. Richard

Redundancies galore in Australia

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Saint-Gobain has continued to make roles redundant in Australia following the CSR takeover. Many positions in Administration and Marketing have already been cut, with IT and HR in progress. The company has lost a significant amount of experienced and knowledgeable staff, and those who remain can't get a job elsewhere or are unemployable.

Cons

- There’s a lack of clear direction - Opportunities for career growth are limited - New roles aren’t being advertised, yet promotions seem to go to those who are most vocal in meetings. They have a knack for promoting micro-managers. - Many senior leaders lack formal qualifications and are widely disliked within the business.
