Pros

Good benefits, quaterly performance bonus, if you are new in the industry you will learn a LOT. If you can do this job, you can work in any other financial institution easily.

Cons

low pay for all the things you have to do. In scotiabank a financial advisor does mortgages, investments, and day to day banking. Too demanding, very SALES oriented. Not the best trainee, it takes a while to be able to be a good job as an advisor, which is not ok for clients.
