Pros

Decent Benefits, Employee Pension Plan, Lots of partnerships with other companies for perks such as discounts on cars, restaurants, vacations, retail stores etc.

Cons

Lowest paid of all the banks, Slow to promote, lot of people overqualified for the jobs they are doing, management not always seeing value of workers, hard to demote people who are terrible at their jobs.

Pros

I enjoyed working at scotia bank, they have a strong sense of community and family. Did not feel like work at all when i was there.

Cons

because it is a big company it will take some time to climb the ladder, so you have to be patient and have a clear direction as to where you want to go in the company.
