Pros

Fun place to work. Good employee benefits with medical and dental. Lots of activities to cultivate teamwork and get to know other people.

Cons

Too specialised task resulting in lack of overview of big picture. Shared service is perceive to be inferior to the overall country business.

Pros

Shell offers great stability and job security. The pay seems to be a bit above industry average. The people culture are great. It doesn't hurt being in the 4th largest city! Tons of career path mobility working at a big company.

Cons

It is very difficult to get decisions made, and there are people in some mid-senior level positions that should just go. There is definitely some cronyism and the feeling of an "old boys club" at times.
