Pros

Nice pay, pension, flexible working hours

Cons

Forced ranking system - hesitate to share knowledge with same job grade colleagues. Company does not appreciate hard workers, but favors hard talkers (high visibility). If team lead is not willing to say good words for you, you screwed. You will always hear things like "oh, you did great last year, but others did better than you".

Pros

It pays reasonably well compared to other SE Asian places. There are reasons for this though... The campsite is in a nice natural environment, with plenty of wildlife, such as hornbills, monkeys, snakes and otters, to be spotted right outside your front door.

Cons

A very nasty working culture, with strong overtones of nepotism, racism and religious discrimination. Only muslim Malays really benefit from this company. Any criticism of management is dealt with in revenge, either in staff evaluations or job assignments. Brunei is also radicalising in a religious way nowadays, with rules around ramadan and alcohol consumption for foreigners now approaching those of Saudi Arabia.

Pros

The wealth of knowledge and project exposure is very good. They are an industry heavyweight and set standards for how the rest of the industry does business.

Cons

There is a heavy focus on protocol and procedure so it can feel at times that there is more focus on the business of doing business than moving projects forward.
