Pros

Pros Salary only (provided you negotiated well) and have good relation !!!(sic) with boss. Company spends a lot on you while recruiting and on-boarding, Initiatives are made to make you comfortable. (however it depends on whom you are associated with and the team)

Cons

1. Managers dont have clarity about how to utilize resources. Outsourcing and reviewing simple tasks is the name of the game. 2. In the name of equal opportunity employer, people having no experience of particular role are made department heads/managers. They dont know how to read a document, let alone provide useful comments !! 3. Man-hours are manipulated to suit the needs of the project. No real tracking as its all "ghar ka mamla" revenue sharing model. 4. Quality of work non-existent. Outsourced jobs are reviewed by junior level and then senior level who have no experience. The world is moving on to new tools and technology and they are discussing dinasors. 5. There are no standards or documentation process, if you made one and your boss approved it, then it becomes an example for everyone to follow...else you are on your own. 6. And if you joined the company after college then you are the best, the rest of the others who are coming in with quality experience are useless in front of the boss. There is no Team spirit. You have to search/create/explore your own work, boss doesnt have work for you !!! 7. Work life balance is only applicable if you have a good relation with your boss & are old enough in the company (read 5 years plus) & are ready to come in at any hours as required by your boss. Coming to HR- No company would want such a HR, dont know how to handle difficult situations, they will make you feel guilty of things you never did. Guilty before proven otherwise and you dont get a chance to prove. Doesnt have a clue about why you are recruited and what to do with you. Incase of dispute, they act a self-proclaimed judge without getting to the thick of the matter. Hypocritisim is very clear. They try to hide over their failure to make use of resources by blaming things on your so called incompatibility. Salary- Though it may seem high at the start, as they have a certain salary band above the general market, however be sure that if you have joined in from outside, you are at the lowest grade of their band. A junior(campus recruit) would be higher paid and at a higher level than you for sure.
