Horrible pay, worked there for 2 years with no raise even though I did most of the work

Everything else. Shell adores joint ventures (JV) this is where you career will commit a suicide. Shell is a money company and not an engineering company. And no, they don't care about the renewable business, as they claim. They just make professionals leave their good careers with some other companies then a few weeks after you join, you realize that you must do jobs that are not related to you, if you are lucky. If you are unlucky, you will lose your job on the next re-org (which happens very frequently).

Total lack of accountability and direction within the first 4 levels a of leadership (everyone is in CYA mode). Shell is no longer a place for a career, its just a job. A temporary one. Culture is gone. Values are no longer followed. Senior Management is lost and very very inexperienced.

Less growth, hierarchical, uncertainty, job security

Too much chill in the company, not for folks who are starting in their career

Visibility is an issue especially if the reporting line is not in the same location. Effort made may not be recognized. Pay could be much better. Career opportunities are global and abundant but often limited by reporting line.
