Pros

An amazing opportunity to build the foundation of how work gets done in the future. Working at Slack is a complete paradigm shift that I couldn’t have imagined prior to starting here. I don’t know how I’d ever work at a company that uses email again. There is tremendous career opportunity.

Cons

Not for those who lack resilience, struggle with ambiguity, need roles/priorities spelled out to them or who are looking to ‘coast’.

Pros

Slack operates like a start-up in many ways. You can have impact, make changes without bureaucracy, and work in a fast-paced environment. At the same time, Slack has the stability and work/life balance of a bigger company. I've been able to learn a ton during my time here.

Cons

We are definitely still figuring things out and building. Things are often ambiguous, and part of the fun is figuring out how to operate in ambiguous situations.
