Front and second line management is fantastic. Pay and benefits are solid. Good work-life balance. Lots of opportunity for advancement/career exploration

Cons

Salesforce's aggressive sales tactics angere customers. Product vision and development has slowed and shifted in favor of Salesforce. Pricing structure makes it hard to sell. Salesforce is a hype machine that claims to be at the forefront of everything when it's not in many cases so you have to learn to step back and look at things with a critical eye. Prod

easy to get things done on monolithic architecture good direct teammates

Cons

no RSU refreshers that come anywhere close to the initial grant, don't expect to stay here longer than 4 years. very stagnant for your software engineering career, there aren't any interesting engineering problems to solve (which yeah, is a testament to how well slack's architecture works) 0 growth opportunity team handed off to 4 different managers in as many months salesforce influenced culture becoming very toxic

- Amazing Salesforce benefits, including unlimited PTO - Smart colleagues - Cool product features

Cons

- The new leadership is not great and a lot of the truly talented employees have left - Lots and lots of pivots and political bottlenecks from multiple stakeholders, resulting in many projects stopping and starting - Challenging to get a promotion
