      Pros

      Starbucks is my first job; I'm also a college student. I've found the company to be receptive to students- they allow for flexible scheduling semester-to-semester and the benefits have been quite good.

      Cons

      the pay isn't as high as I could be making at other food service venues but the flexibility Starbucks offers is simply unmatched

      Pros

      Starbucks can be a great place to work if you enjoy a lot of interaction with employees (partners) and customers. The stock options and comprehensive healthcare (for over 20 years) are valuable. It is very customer-focused and oriented toward store operations. If you are motivated and personable, you can advance in the company.

      Cons

      In management, the long and varied hours and relative lower compensation (comparatively) can be draining. Advancement is limited in field operations. Turnover is high among both hourly employees and store level leadership. Constantly shifting priorities and a focus on meeting targets can also distract from overall operations or manager initiative.

      great work environment, embrace diversity as an essential component in the way we do business, develop enthusiastically satisfied customers all of the time, contribute positively to communities.

      Cons

      size of company might be too large for individual attention. offices are decentralized regionally, work load might be increasingly more as time goes by.
