Pros

The health care benefits are exceptional for a retail position, as are the employee discounts and perks you receive from other companies for being an employee of Starbucks.

Cons

It can be physically taxing, and your experience will vary based on upper management. I'm very lucky to have a wonderful store manager who cares about each and every one of his employees as a person, and a helpful district manager who gently guides people in the right direction. However, if you have a very inconsiderate store manager or a very difficult district manager, your career at Starbucks might be unpleasant.

Pros

Flexible hours, great co-workers, respectful and fair management, good benefits for part-time workers

Cons

Tasks can become monotomous, and you end up doing the same thing day in and day out
