Pros

Wide range of scheduling hours. You can start work at 4 am and be done by noon. Great stock benefits. Health benefits. You earn a hour base + tips. Very strong training program, great education about all details of coffee. Cute green apron. Easy to get hired. Fun to fill in at other stores. I enjoyed the "Just Say Yes" policy. It's an enjoyable aspect to just simply give the customer what they want. Management backs the "Just Say Yes" policy. It's easier and faster to just say yes than to waste time arguing, and then the customer is happy again.

Cons

Very intense and stressful. From store to store it is hit or miss, sometimes you get a great group of co-workers sometimes you get a bunch of lazy slackers. When you have weak links in the chain the entire shift goes down in flames. I hear managers don't get paid that much. The best shifts are in the morning, the night shifts are just a bunch of cleaning. Some managers don't enforce or encourage perfect hand crafted beverages, they just want it done fast instead of correct.
