Pros

The people that you work with are great.. You can work part time and get benefits. You get to know your customers and become friends with them.

Cons

Lots of favoritism, hiring managers with no starbucks experience, hiring of managers that don't know the proper policies and procedures, no room for growth ever since the economy.

Pros

My overall experience there was very positive - my managers were flexible and encouraging. The training I went through was helpful and they were concerned with "getting it right" in terms of the drinks, etc.

Cons

At my particular site there was not as much of an emphasis on customer service and there seemed to be little opportunity for advancement/recognition of a job well done, but that could have just been where I worked.
