Pros

Steady work with a chance to meet new and different people. I enjoy learning how to make different types of drinks and learning what the regulars like. I am also learning how this huge business works, it was a great idea to start a coffee shop and turn it into something this large.

Cons

This is not a career, I am only using this as a stepping stone. People are serious about their coffee and sometimes they can be moody in the morning. It take a special type of person to deal with some of the customers. Retraining the employees was an interesting situation.

Pros

Interesting and diverse employees, good regular customer base, benefits, schedule flexibility, quality product.

Cons

Expectations too high and unrealistic, lack of focus, pay, conflicting priorities, lack of recognition or rewards, lack of attainable incentive or bonus, marketing programs negative impact on store operations, checklists, insufficient facilities support for store condition and cleanliness.
