Pros

Starbucks makes it easy to grow with the company if that what you're interested in, and they also support efforts to grow outside of the company. Transferring stores is easy, so mobility is no problem, and the benefits package is second to none for part-time employees.

Cons

At the same time, it's still a corporation, and at least while I was working there, there were many issues with the higher-ups not being sure how to handle restructuring. Scheduling regulations left our store understaffed at all times of the day for an entire summer. Forget about holidays if you work in a high traffic location.

Pros

coffee, "some" amazing employees who are wonderful people

Cons

60 hour work weeks for minimal pay, selection of potential employees who won't work for $8 an hour, feel like a use car salesman pushing the latest product or else no raise
