Pros

The company is really good and the benefits they offer is amazing. One the best n leading reinsurers in the world. Facilities are commendable and to be applauded. Sound technology.

Cons

The people there are ruining it. The sort of people hired and and given importance to is absolutely rubbish. They want to invest only in a closed group and nothing discussed openly. Later the other employees are blamed. If you are under the red radar of the management, forget your career here and move on. Way too much of politics involved on the floor. Zero professionalism and huddles happen in regional languages. Opportunities given only to managements favourite people.

Some good and a lot of bad

Pros

Flexible work environment, decent pay and benefits, most of the people working here are very intelligent

Cons

Very bureaucratic, way too many managers and not enough people to do the work, ridiculous expectations for employees at times, systems are complex, archaic and break down regularly (the worst that I have seen anywhere in my career), employees are just another number - offshoring initiatives require employees to train their replacements and then management wonders why morale is low. The company is about as inefficient as government. Employees are also bombarded with numerous politically correct initiatives and looked down upon when they don't participate. US employees are treated as second class citizens, while European employees are praised and have lavish benefits.

Great people, poor management in Latin-America

Pros

Amazing school for insurance and re-insurance. You'll learn all the value chain of the sector, and get exposure to many markets, both in LATAM and elswehere if you're interested enough.

Cons

Management for Latin-america lacks leadership, they're the subject of their own emotions and often go to work in a bad mood. Language used could be held to be abusive. Company is being resstructured, so they're making life difficult for anyone they want to lay-off in hopes the employee will renounce and therefore avoid the company having to pay the locally compulsory lay-off bonus.
