Pros

Good benefits, standard pay, relaxed atmosphere and very routinely work. Good work-life balance

Cons

No possibilities to grow in the company unless you are Swiss or American. If management believes you are introvert, forget about promotions. This is very ironic coming from one of the most introvert people in the world, the swiss. Decision taking can take ages.

Diversity of people backgrounds, interesting colleagues, interesting business - always learning something new. I enjoy the Own the Way you Work scheme as I can manage better my work-life balance and work when I am more productive

Cons

Not enough is being done to eliminate the pay gap between genders and provide transparency

Pros

Global company that places high emphasis on exploring different areas of the company through local/regional/international rotations. This company has a wealth of knowledge and is really trying to figure out how to disseminate knowledge. Though at some times the processes can be cumbersome they are investing lots of money in improving their internal systems. Ironically, it seems like the best systems at SR are the ones designed internally versus purchased from a third party vendor. The pay is competitive and the bonus is larger here than any other large insurance carrier (15-30% of annual salary). The benefits, 6% match and 6% contribution are great! You have the option of a high deductible plan with company HSA contribution or a traditional plan. Long story short, this is a company worth being at. Currently the commercial insurance market is a difficult environment but SR is navigating the seas better than most while still taking care of their employees both internationally and in the US.

Cons

Seriously, it's a great place to work. They're flexible with hours, working from home, etc. the only complaint is that change is constant at SR. sometimes if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
