Pros

Relatively easy work, decent benefits, relatively laid back environment with the right manager/senior manager. Good co-workers 90% of the time, the poor ones tended to move on with time.

Cons

Remote/Hybrid policy is backwards, pay is below what the standard should be for these tech roles, middle management is so poorly handled that there is a "reorg" every 3-4 months. Leads to a lot of retreaded ground and wasted time on various projects that can go nowhere. If you aren't careful you can have your skills stagnate working on irrelevant and outdated material and this will hurt your future career progression. Growth is dangled like a carrot to incentivize performance then pulled back due to "business reasons". Layoffs are poorly handled and demoralize those who remain.
