Pros

I really like the Team-Members that I work with! I like my GSTL (Guest Service Team Leader) and STL (Store Team Leader) since they are laid back and understanding if you do your job and this is the only reason why my rating of target receives any stars at all! If it wasn’t for the Team-Members that I work with, I would have left this company long ago! There is no other Target Store that I would work at other than Target Store # 1278 in Arnold, MO (St. Louis, MO area)! I like the individual store that I work at! Store # 1278 is known among St. Louis area Target Team-Members as the golden Target store because of the friendly Team-Members! However, the Target Corporation does not give a rip about its hourly store employees, who are the back-bone to the company, especially the team-members at Store # 1278! Because our store generates less than 35 million dollars a year, we are looked at as an unimportant store by the executives in Target’s corporate offices!

Cons

UGH, where do I begin? Because our store generates less than 35 million dollars a year, we are looked at as an unimportant store by the executives in Target’s corporate offices! If our hardworking team-members at Store # 1278 are working their tails off to consistently generate over 30 million dollars annually, and this still does not make the Target Corporate executives happy, then this is what makes these executives down right greedy and selfish! We, the hourly store employees, fill Target’s corporate executive’s pockets a lot more than they fill ours! I pray that CEO “Gregg W. Steinhafel” and his executive Team have some bad Karma Coming their way! I have been working for target for over three years! I have done everything form picking up vomit and feces of the bathroom floor, to breaking up fights between angry customers on black Friday, to helping Security apprehend thieves!! In those three years, I have won Front End Top Performer of the month three times! I won Front End Top Performer of the month most recently in June-2013 and I am only getting paid 80 cents more than when I started three years ago (not even $1 an hour more)! Luckily, I start working at Costco in less than two weeks! Rumor has it that at Costco the lowest paid employee makes $11/HR plus possible bonuses!

Pros

As a mom, there was a lot of schedule flexibility and understanding when a child was sick or I needed to be at a school event.

Cons

Pushing of the Target Credit Card-pleeeeeze! Enough already! Also, working holidays/late nights wasn't so great.
