Pros

A small discount on all of the great products. I've heard that working in senior management is great training for college grads looking to move up in sales/retail/human resources. For a regular team member, however, it is somewhat dire.

Cons

The lowest pay possible and they expect you to do a lot of work, including many duties which are not covered in your job description. One cashier I know was told that because she was "one of the most responsible cashiers", she was being selected to be trained to clean the bathrooms on occasion. What a reward! Management is idiotic. I have a B.A. from a great school and had to temporarily take this job out of desperation. But even someone who has no degree would find the experience discouraging. There are plenty of employees who have worked there for over a decade and have not been promoted in any way, and they're not bad workers either. Employee dissatisfaction s high (and customer service is poor) due to the low pay - Target can surely afford to pay a little more than they do, or offer more of a raise than 5 cents every three months. Come on!
