Pros

Target was a great first job, had a lot of great customer interaction, flexible scheduling, and reasonable management. Loved the ability to cross train between starbucks, and sales floor, guest service and photolab.

Cons

Lots of teenagers means lots of drama. Target totally ruined the retail experience for me. Management would pick their favorites and kiss ass to get what they wanted.

Pros

Pay opportunities are really great.

Cons

There is not a work/life balance that they preach about. They expect you to run a "green" work center, but you have too many LOD shifts to even be able to focus on your work center. Then when you are off, it's only for a day in between a number of work days. Working every other weekend is not enough time off. Would much rather have a 9 to 5 Monday through Friday.
