Pros

Training and development are above that of competitors in the retail industry.

Cons

Very bureaucratic and political as fas as advancement opportunities. Execs are often urged to connect with the "right people" to get noticed or liked.

Pros

Fast, fun and friendly culture, Target invests in the growth and development of team members, believes in promoting from within, values community and diversity.

Cons

Compensation for internal promotions is small compared to external hires. In other words, external starting rates are much hire than an internal who was promoted to the exact same position.
