Pros

Got paid an alright amount, and you get a good number of breaks during the night. Less management to deal with.

Cons

Lots of stupid things you have to deal with. When you work overnight you basically do like 10 different jobs of day people.

Pros

I can't recall any reason to work for target besides the fact that if you do your job and do it well you can advance fairly quickly. But who would want to in a company that could really careless about its employees? The people here are nice and friendly. You may run into an ill tempered manager but the people for the most part are friendly.

Cons

Some of the downside in working in logistics is that everything is the logistics fault. You have to constantly clean-up after day-side while they get to do absolutely nothing but help a customer and zone all day. You constantly get talked to about sales = payroll (as hours have been cut dramatically) and it is all crap because no matter how much you do your job and how well you do it, those hours do not come to you but to other employees and dayside team members. I enjoy working on the logistics end in the backroom overnight...however it's very long hours. The salesfloor overnight is where the problem comes in. I have worked softlines time and time again and end up working my behind off due to the fact that they stick people with you who are sorry or sorry/and just will not do any work. You complain months and months on in and they could care less. You literally have to go off in order to see results. People will do what they want to do overnight and management will allow it as long as it doesn't affect the push. So if that employees decision makes you work harder in the end, they could care less. I have seen people pushing freight from one cart and just leave it and go do something else in another area of the store just because they don't want to do it anymore? Management will then come to you and tell you to finish it. When the proper thing to do is to tell them to come back and finish it and give them a coaching /write-up as well. To often they allow stuff like this to go on and they make it harder as you will get stuck pushing all the hard stuff while they get away doing nothing all night. Also the discount is 10%. and if you do not have your card they will not enter your team member number...even if you worked that night and are in uniform. The pay is not worth what they put some employees through.
