Pros

- Constantly changing environment - No days are ever the same - Get to interact with guests all day long - Learning all areas of the Front End - Managing your cashiers and helping on training - Training is sometimes good - Fun people to work with - Recognizes potential in Team Members - Encouraged growth for those who seek it

Cons

- Not allowed to have a bad day - Management expects way too much - You are basically a GSTL without the pay - Long hours but they usually go fast - I was personally just thrown into the position with minimal training - Self-taught most in most front end areas - Need to hold more people accountable for attendance - Not given the resources to complete tasks - Scheduling never matches the Sales goals - Empty promises - Accountability is lacking on the ETL level

Pros

Great benefits, including a retirement plan Gay-friendly, absolutely zero tolerance for any kind of discrimination You are at the core of your store's success. Everything starts with a great logistics process Great teamwork opportunities with other Execs

Cons

Hours can be long, and walking around on concrete for 10+ hours a day can make for some tender feet Expectations can be unrealistic concerning hours used in unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and finishing cleanly every night Overnight ETLs can be overlooked for promotional opportuities (sometimes intentionally if the store really depends on you)

Pros

You get paid to be active. I enjoyed interacting with people from day to day. They pay a little more than walmart. Benefits are almost decent.

Cons

It's retail. You work weekends, nights, holidays. Your pay in general in garbage. Advancement is tough without a degree and some kissing of the backside. If you make it to the top kiss your social life goodbye.
