Pros

enjoyable coworkers, good exercise while working

Cons

Store management is young and inexperienced. Feedback is encouraged and then is largely ignored, or later even cited against you as being negatie. And the pay, the pay is lousy. Seriously, you really can make mor money working at McDonalds.

Pros

Target is excellent at providing career development opportunities no matter what your level in the company. The environment is young, fun and flexible. They are also well respected by the community which offers a sense of pride for their employees.

Cons

Due to the size of the company, they are often very slow and reluctant to change. Also, it is a cut throat environment that will constantly challenge your skills and abilities- both professionally and personally.

Pros

*Fellow team members are nice and fun to work with. *The discount is fair. *Getting time off is pretty easy to do compared to other places. *You can get a lot of hours if you want to.

Cons

*Management doesn't really know what's going on with the lower level employees out on the floor.. They only see numbers and not effort. *You hardly ever get praised for hard work and effort and almost always get an earful when you make a mistake. *Some of the Team Leads get a sense of superiority because of their position and let you know all the time that think they're much more competent, skilled, important, intelligent, etc etc all the time. *Training should be a bit more in-depth, after the cashier portion of training (my position was sales floor keep in mind) I felt like I should have had better training when it came out of the ordinary forms of payment from customers. *You don't really feel like you're worth anything when it comes down to it and the snacks and cakes they occasionally give make you feel like they're just trying to smooth over any resentment toward the company or employees with treats. *Customers are rude. They think they know everything and you're an idiot even though they expect you to know everything about everything in your store. You wouldn't believe how many times customers didn't know that there were signs above grocery telling them where stuff was located..
