Pros

Sometimes can get a lot of hours. So busy time goes fast. Learn a lot since they try to teach you everything so they can hire less people.

Cons

Short handed, often hard to get hours. It is impossible to advance in position. Late hours. Very little communication to employees.

Pros

Great Communication, Fair Time Off, Decent Benefits. All in all it is a retail business and nothing has changed in the last 10 years. You will work your butt off during the holidays no matter what and there is never any time off.

Cons

It would be nice if there was a retail customer that would allow time off during the holidays since some people celebrate birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Pros

Acceptable pay for performance Great Tuition reimbursement and 401(k) match Well funded Facilities Management programs f you are a “Type A” “people person” who can loves building relationship this a great job.

Cons

To mechanical: most decisions are referred to a higher authority or already made for you. My current boss wants me to divide my time 65% store operations 35% facilities management so I can be a “great business partner.” If you work in a support service such as Facilities Management, Assets Protection, or Human Resources you must first accept the fact that regardless of your title you have less legitimate authority then the typical assistant store manager. I was told by Human Resources that “Target does not typically promote people directly from a District Facilities Manager to Group Facilities Manager “ It was then recommended if I am interested in career advancement I should consider moving ”Store Side.” Year End Bonuses are considered for most Target Managers unless you work in FM
