Pros

The best part of the job was the team of people I worked with, especially my initial manager. Who trained me well and always made me feel supported!

Cons

Our store had quite a few great leaders leave from burnout. With the constant turnover I too was expected to do a lot that wasn’t “my job” — I’m all for teamwork but it got to the point where I couldn’t keep up with my own duties.

Pros

The pay is decent for what you're doing. You could have worse prospects for the money. Different tasks everyday and no day is truly the same. Opportunity for advancement if you have the right director and leadership.

Cons

The work is already too much for one person. If you're faced with tough team lead staffing challenges prepare to do more team lead work and less visual merchandising. Expect challenges with fewer team members as well. Without a solid team you will struggle to get sets done and signing up efficiently. Get to know the store you're applying for and understand the challenges you might be facing. The holidays can be tough with the amount of signing. Stay organized and in constant communication within departments.

Pros

Pay was wonderful for the area, and I loved trained team members.

Cons

Mismanaged store, full stop. Communication was terrible, if not entirely nonexistent. I was constantly pulled from my tasks to work in other areas, then asked why my areas were falling behind. My ETL and SD gave no clear expectations for my role, like I was set up to fail.
