Package is not good compared to other companies. Promotion takes a long time and there is a lot of partiality done in terms of performance appraisals. Lately promotion policy is not clear. Due to the number of employess, HR to employee ratio has decreased. Performance appraisals are done keeping in mind the project billing. So if you are good but in a small project with limited growth capability, you are bound to get a low rating. Doing account level actvities help in getting a higher rating but you will rarely find time when working in client location. TCS doesn't pay extra hours. So even if you are working your rears of, keep in mind you are going to get the low wage.
