1. Onsite opportunities - I was lucky to get some really good onsite opportunities during my career with TechM. And during this tenure, i got some really good exposure facing a very big client - AT&T, and also i got decent vertical growth(though i had to really fight for it). 2. Onsite rotation policy is being implemented very strictly, this will definitely give opportunities to fresh people.But, still i feel there's a lot of favouritism in favour of Pune location.There are so many people from Pune, that seem to have settled here in US. Why are they not ever rotated? 3. There is a really good amount of flexibility. I feel this depends largely on your immediate supervisor. And i was lucky to have very understanding managers mostly.I'm still on good terms with all of them.

Cons

1. I think its good for initial few years of your carrier. Good compensation for less experienced people. Very bad for experienced ones, salaries don't increase much, not anywhere close to the industry standards. Most of my batchmates' offshore salaries are almost 3 lacs/annum more than me.Over the past two years TechM has been getting rid of various benefits they used to provide to employees. Starting 2008, they drastically decreased the US salaries also(even though the dollar rate has been significantly high). 2. They behave like slaves of their clients. Top management doesn't think much about negotiating with the client about changing the timings of offshore teams. Continous night shifts. It frustrates people. 3. Very poor compensation for night shift and weekend support. 4. Variable pay is never given on time. It's July right now, and 25% amount is still pending from Q4 2009-10. 5. Very poor cab facility, even though they charge for it. 6. Very bad infrastructure at new locations. People don't get the phones with mute buttons. Leaves bad impression on clients. 7. Bad quality of people being hired recently. Not many people have good communication skills. 8. Company doesn't know how to retain its best employees. Very callous and unprofessional attitude of the top management. Many important and critical people are also leaving the organisation now, which is sad.
