Pros

-Healthcare exists -Gym membership -Always paid on time -VERY hard to get fired

Cons

-Clueless management that speaks in abbreviations -Lied about yearly raise to bring me in -Laborious and tiring onboarding that involved me sending a paper letter in the mail and getting a total of five phone calls a day on some days even though I explained to them that I was working another job that didn't allow me answer every time. - Every internal site they have is extremely confusing with no thought for user experience - They cannot seem to agree upon what days are paid holidays and which aren't (and they WILL change it up last minute), rendering their official calendar quite useless. - Reimbursement for ANYTHING they promise is going to be a long arduous process - If you want to switch jobs within this company, you need "approval" from your manager. You can't just apply through their confusing internal site. - Seriously, there is SO much jargon and abbreviation that seems to be either specific to India or Tech Mahindra that bringing up an issue or asking any question requires at least 5 follow up questions. - Multiple times they have told coworkers they were cleared for overtime and then not paid them for it, saying it wasn't approved

Pros

Nothing apart from getting good package.

Cons

I cleared interview with techM client of 4 rounds and joined techM. After joining, I allocated for same client within 5days of joining. Till I join techM, almost everyday recruiter use to followup with me to join and take induction.. after project allocation, i waited for nearly a month to start the work. But one fine day i received a call from my manager and told, that the project won't continue anymore, and she suggested me to look for other opportunities as soon as possible before HR approaches me to leave the company. This is so shocking for me. For this project and commitment I gave to them, I joined the company, but I felt knowingly they told all these drama to me to leave the company.... it's not fair... it's new project, I feel after budget allocation they did all these drama to leave the company to show savings... This is worst experience in my life... Bcoz of this i rejected 3 offers of product base in between which is better than TechM offered. Bcoz of willing to work from product starting, i showed interest in techM... now they are playing with my life... I suggest not to join in techM... Likely one of my friend faced same experience with persistent systems in Hyderabad. Where she cleared, 2 rounds tech and he round, salary negotiation also done. Told that, induction and joining formalities will be done after 3days, but it's been 3weeks, as of now HR is not responding even to her calls/msgs/emails...now a days these service based companies are playing with employee lives and their career.

Pros

Contractors have usually a very high salary.

Cons

After just 1,5 month at TechMahindra I was forced to transfer to a different team with a 24/7 job. They even reduced my base salary before the change, because I was going to get shift allowances anyway according to HR. The work conditions were simply horrible so I applied to different companies and fortunately found a much better opportunity in time. I left TechM just before the end of my probation period. During my short time at th ecompany I had to spend 3 weekends working, but of course I haven't received the allowances for the Sundays with my last salary, to my question their payroll's answer was that I'm not eligible for the allowance... Every negative comments below from former employees are absolutely true from the payroll problems to the poorly equipped kitchens. The trainings are usually 3-6 weeks long but most of the trainers are just reading what's written on the PPTs. In my second team I had to read general documents and instructions about the work and take tests from them. Avoid this company if you can!
