Pros

Nice staff areas, free food in the canteen. If you are a student it’s a good job.

Cons

Longer term staff have slowly been losing their benefits that used to make this a job for life. Now students are the ideal employees which is fine for them as they can put up with a rubbish job knowing they are moving on and never having to spend 35 hours a week doing this repetitive work. but for those who have families to support and need full time work it is pretty miserable with the only progression being to management, who are even more overworked and miserable. Used to be you could gain experience as a baker or work with hot food, or cash office or admin - these roles are all going as Tesco desperately tries to become Aldi and cut costs everywhere.
