Promotions are somewhat political. - Every aspect of your annotating is tracked, and if you don't meet any one of those metrics one week, there is a short performance improvement plan before you are let go (if you fail to meet metrics several consecutive weeks). - Office culture can be pretty toxic- Annotators generally don't like working there, or the people they work under. Managers are stretched thin and offer little support. - Subjective judgements impact annotators' stats.

The turnover rate is unexpectedly high. Remote work is not and will not ever be an option. The schedules are strict. Projects, seating, and teams change frequently, so there's no loyalty or camaraderie. The expectations are high and versatile. Getting a promotion is difficult, and there are very few opportunities even to interview for one.
