Pros

Decent benefits if you’re able to use then

Cons

They do not care about you. The company as a whole is all about “yes men” to Elon. Ask too many questions or don’t be robotic and you’re not going to fit in. You get decent time off if you can actually get it approved. They watch your social media like hawks and nitpick everything. No sense of privacy at all. Some times you aren’t allowed OT and others it’s required. You have zero say in this. Impossible to meet goals in given timeframes. Ask for OT and it gets denied or you’ll be written up. Don’t meet the goal and you get written up. Solution? Work off the clock and give Tesla free labor. Multiple of us in the office I worked in did this to keep our jobs. Be a robot. That’s what Tesla wants. Someone with no family, no life, no desires to move up, no questions. If that’s you then Tesla is the perfect fit.

Pros

Free health insurance. Interesting products. Some nice people.

Cons

It’s so backwards. It has a WW2 mentality and we’re all supposed to buy in to the idea that we should give every last bit of utility we can muster from our lives in exchange for under market pay with 2-3% raises and 3-4% bonuses every other year. I’m 3 years in, overqualified for my position, constantly praised for my work, but have no idea of my path to advancement despite requesting a roadmap. Leadership is not inspirational, simply fear-based and political. The attitude toward employees and vendors is “you should count yourself lucky to work with Tesla”. Someone leaves? Your team is lucky to get approval to backfill. There is 0 budget for professional development, continuing ed conferences, etc. I’m not even that overworked like some describe; the environment just sucks. I miss my old job.

Pros

Job pays well if you can move up the ranks.

Cons

Nobody in higher leadership is qualified for their position. No matter how hard you work you will get laid off.
