Pros

No real benefits to be honest. No work from home budget - as no policy No learning budget No perks at work, as such. If you want to count cookies, you get them on Thursdays. Also - fruits are there approximately twice or thrice a week. You are lucky if you can get a hand on some!

Cons

- You don't get any benefits like you'd expected working as an IT professional. - Treated as a Manufacturing person - Salaries are not as par with the market standard - Not Work From Home friendly policies - Gender ratio is so bad due to harsh/no work from home policy

Pros

- Big thanks to my Manager who saw something in me and gave me the opportunity to be on board the team, - Appreciate the challenge of doing what Tesla does while being in a fast pace environment with a steep learning curve. - Amazing product and mission Tesla have lots of opportunities in the near future.

Cons

- For the effort and production I was generating I felt that there was a gap in my salary range compared to the competitive average in the industry. - There seems to be a mismatch in expectations on career development/growth from what was mentioned vs what was practiced. - The working schedule was an issue that was highlighted by multiple advisors on multiple occasions, but nothing was changed to improve/address the concern

Pros

At the time, there was a shine attached to working for Tesla. The brand and the products are sexy and exciting and literally changing the world. Though I suspect in the last year, the shine and reputation of the brand has dulled pretty significantly.

Cons

Leadership is often put into place due more to tenure than relevant experience. The revenue generating side of the business is King and is responsible for making decisions for all sides of the company, whether it is within their lane or not. Talent acquisition, specifically, plays the role of a support to the business, rather than as a partner, and leadership would punish employees for operating differently. Pay is well below market (and explained away by people saying, "It's Tesla, you should want to work here"). Work life balance is non existent as many recruiters are working upwards of dozens and dozens of open roles at a given time and their productivity is graded similarly to a sales organization, rather than as the strategic initiative that it should be considered. The recruiting teams operate within severe dysfunction (and attempt to paint it as "ever changing") with very little quality leadership to guide or impact real, helpful change.
