Pros

If you are lucky your project team mates will be fun. The brand is still good for now at least.

Cons

Used to be that you could make a difference, but now you're just another cog in the machine. Hired in a bunch of more junior people in order to increase margins, but means that there are less people to learn from and the reason for going to TW in the first place - ie to work with the best and the brightest is no longer there. There are favorites and different rules for different people. Senior managers tend to get paid vast salaries and have no accountability, this can be very frustrating when you are traveling weekly for little money.

Pros

The Perks, the travel, the networks and the people (other consultants) just rock - by far the best and smartest people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Cons

It consumes your life, and eats into your personal time - in fact you don't have personal time left. I'd also need to agree with another couple of points in other posts, one about the inefficiences of HR and how it is sooo poorly managed. The other is about if you are not 'in' with senior management, forget it...

Pros

There are lots of smart technical people. Business and Project Managers are more like average though. The company behaves like a single global entity. There are no branches, there are only offices in different regions. Very nice office with free beverages, food, videogames and books. Most savvy people in software development know the company and that's good for your resume.

Cons

Likely to travel a lot and lose some money in the process and not everything will be expensed. HR is extremely ineffective. Resource Management process (allocation into projects) is just fire fighting. There is no plan and unless you're in good friends with senior management they don't know your skills or who you are. The office may be nice but you're always on client side. Managers are directly responsible for 100+ people and those people rely heavily on management for everything as they're on client side. Account management is fire fighting as well. Most good tech people are leaving and new hires are not filling the gap.
