Pros

Sick leave policy is good

Cons

These experiences are based on Pune office. People have delusional arrogant belief in their abilities simply because they are 'thoughtworker'. If you have to succeed here, toot your own horn ;) Feedback culture is less about genuine feedback and more about back biting and politics. Most positive reviews are from campus hires, who genuinely get good training but they don't know pain of lateral hires. If you are campus hire, it's best company for you, otherwise just don't join this company. You are supposed to fit in a mould of ideal "thoughtworker" anything different is treated with suspicion. All kinds of diversity is welcome here except for diversity of opinion on political stance, the company has a liberal bias and if you don't agree with them it's better you don't speak up. It can incur concequences ;)

Our intention is to make Thoughtworks the best place to work for employees who join us. Consulting is a tough gig, and finding the right balance of depth and breadth of skills is a particular challenge when we're trying to do the best possible work for our clients. Feedback like yours helps us identify our consultant’s pain points and begin to clarify growth and development opportunities for specialists like yourself. We're sorry you didn't have a pleasant experience with us. We strive hard to make Thoughtworks a welcoming and safe place for everyone. If you're open to having a conversation about your experience so we can address the issues, please don't hesitate to email me directly at vishalp@thoughtworks.com. Wishing you the best, Vishal Prasad, Market Unit Leader, Thoughtworks Pune.

Pros

Competitive Pay, Good facilities, Cutting edge tech stack

Cons

[1] ThoughtWorks Feedback culture is more about escalation culture than the feedback culture. [2] Do not join Mumbai or Pune office. Worst culture I have even seen in my whole professional life. [3] ThoughtWorks secretly fires many people based on mindless feedbacks given by coworkers [4] Seasoned ThoughtWorkes will make your life hell if you can not meet their expectations and eventually you will get fired. [5] Do not join this organization during these uncertain Covid days. You might loose your job anytime. Please be careful and choose your next move wisely. [6] Overall ThoughWorks folks are technically very good but extremely arrogant and always ready to escalate even the small mistake.

Pros

Brand Name, Brand Name, Brand Name

Cons

Where do I start from? 1. It's the most shallow organisation unlike how the world perceives otherwise. The folks are stuck up and don't embrace laterals at all! 2. Small sized projects reflects the maturity of the offerings, the longest tenure projects are about 12/24 months. The team nor management are prepared to operate medium and large scale accounts but brag/hide fallacies and practices by claiming the existing brand name and insane billing rates 3. The processes are so flawed, they hire resources for increasing headcount and soup them into accounts which has no relevance to their prior skills 4. The management in Bangalore is biased and overlooks every concern of the laterals and threaten them with feedback sessions than resolving. Very unapologetic and HR won't respond to any emails/pings unless it's your exit email 5. The good folks for which TW was TW have either quit or disappeared, few handful who are empathetic will relate to your problems and hostility but are helpless 6. The learning curve is almost nil except for dealing with bullish attitude of the folks. And it disappoints furthermore to be part of the agile practices followed here
