Pros

Technical staff is very knowledgeable Great environment with non-management staff Well known for Agile innnovation Looks good on a resume Pretty good benefits

Cons

Be prepared for the president of the company to insult your religious beliefs Consultants are expected to be on the road Sun thru Thurs and in the office on Friday. Basically work more than 50 hours per week- not including travel Little respect for non-liberals and the military US leaders are not well educated in business management and don't have good relationships with non-managers Very disorganized No respect for operations people and non-consultants Lots of staff turnover New comers are outside the clicks and don't get treated equally Employee morale is very low-- people don't feel appreciated No mentoring or formal learning opportunities Keep in mind that when they win the Best Places to Work Awards its only because they pay for them.

Pros

It's a job, and I guess that counts for something these days!

Cons

Completely lost its way in recent years. The excellent contributions to the industry that came out of Thoughtworks in its are neither respected or applied anymore. The "sensible default" software delivery practices are not understood supported by sales people, or adhered to by the teams. You will be set up for failure. Agile theatre and AI thought-leadership posturing is in full effect.

Pros

- The occasional overtime is compensated - Team looks out for each other to ensure work is not high-stress - Usually following good software practices

Cons

- Work is limited to what is available through clients - If staffed on a larger team, it is very difficult to be recognised in order to receive grade change (promotion). The louder (and better-liked) people will be more visible and the leads will not look out for the contributions of others - Adding on to the above, the system of having a Performance Partner (PP) who isn't on the same team makes matters worse. The PP will not know much about your work in order to give valuable input to you, and the actual leads on your team don't have an interest in your growth.
