Pros
- Interesting challenges: every day is different and we work on solving large distributed problems at a large scale - Great team: the team is super friendly and it definitely still has the feeling of a startup despite it's larger size (and parent company) - Work life balance: I haven't worked anywhere with as positive a work life balance previously in my career - Great benefits: the Cisco benefits are exceptional. Company-wide days off, 10 days to give for volunteering, the usual large corporate employee insurance and share schemes are all way ahead of what a similar sized startup could offer - Product teams mostly kept within regions. This means meetings outside your normal working hours are very manageable.
Cons
- Teams feel a little too siloed at times. It can be hard to spot potential duplicated effort early and sometimes get passed around between teams when trying to resolve issues
