Pros

I researched Timken Company prior to applying for any position. I love the company and the job I was performing. I have an Associates degree in engineering science and in my senior year as an engineering management major along with several years in aircraft and small engine repair. This was a perfect company to fit my skills and offer opportunity for challenges and growth.

Cons

Training Safety Ethics These are the biggest red flags I saw as new employee: No Safety Data Sheets in the audit lab, chemicals not properly stowed in flam lockers, low productivity in the audit lab is the standard Being trained from a ex convict that had no record of being trained for the job he is performing There was ferrocote being used to clean grease of employees hands and nothing being said about it in regards to their safety Supervisors surfing the web on ebay, craigslist, and youtube and not performing their work or keeping compliance Deceptive behavior and trickery among employees Retaliation when bringing up issues Lots of hearsay and no validation or verfication Romantic relationships in the workplace where there was kissing, tickling, and arguments making it uncomfortable to come to work.

Pros

The culture and people are great! The pay is good for entry-level positions and the canton area is good for recent grads.

Cons

The steel market and oil and gas markets are slow right now. Entry-level associates don't receive that many challenging assignments as they should.
