Pros

Trulia is a great place to work because of the culture and environment. Open office and fun people to work with.

Cons

The pay is not that great and there is always something changing. Most of the managers are only interested in doing whatever it takes to move up not elevating their employees.

Thank your for your feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed our culture - it's definitely amazing and unlike any other place. As validated by being ranked in the Top 10 nationwide by this very site. www.glassdoor.com/Best-Places-to-Work-LST_KQ0,19.htm I'm sorry you didn't have success, but with the majority of our folks beating their quota's, our turnover at historic lows, and our company continuing to grow at a high rate, it's a GREAT place for someone to meet or exceed their goals, if they're willing to work hard and love working with our amazing clients. Best of luck in your new endeavor. Greg Bland, VP Sales

Cons

Sometimes lack of oversight. The mass layoffs were unexpected, unfortunate, but it happens.

Thank you for the review. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the office culture and had a positive experience with our San Francisco sales team. The Trulia culture is still alive and well with the Zillow Group and the brand is thriving. If you have any more insights or feedback, please feel free to reach out to stevec@zillow.com. Best of luck with your future endeavors and thanks again for the review. Steve Capezza – Senior Director, Orange County Sales

Pros

Free Food. CEO is inspirational, but I believe unaware of unethical business practices and misrepresented "corporate culture" in Colorado call center.

Cons

Local recruiter basically misrepresented the position, causing me to leave a job making good money for over a decade. Deceptive business practices. "Boiler Room Approach". Preach about their incredible "culture", but lead by fear. Offer little to no coaching and/or solutions for success first 90 days.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience and would love to talk with you more about it if you'd be willing. My email address is below. However, I must clarify a few things that you mentioned. For instance, our new hire training program is a structured 60+ day program, that is a combination of trainers, coaches and managers. And, we very rarely lose anyone during their first 6 mos, if we do, usually it's due to a bad culture fit or lack of effort. Secondly, you say, "boiler room"?.. I guess if you'd call working hard and having fun, working M-F, 7:30-4p, with holidays off, music pumping and happy hours, then okay. We pride ourselves on working hard hours, not long hours as much as we can. And, unlike many "call centers" we don't tether people to their desks (which BTW are stand-up and many folks have bluetooth headsets), so they can talk/sell while getting an espresso from our personal machines. And, I'm proud to say that we have incredibly low turnover and only hire 1% of all the applicants we receive, so most folks that come stay. And, with 95% of our management and trainer roles filled internally, we have a lot of career opportunities for performers. Lastly, I'm not sure what you did before you came here, but, you were obviously not happy there either, or wouldn't have come over. So, I'm sorry it didn't work out and would love to hear more details from you. And, we were recently named to the Top 10 Companies in the nation to work for on Glassdoor.com. So, while it may not have worked out for you, we're always looking for top talent as we continue to grow. Best regards. Greg Bland (gbland@zillow.com).
