Pros

Good people, large company with many possibilities, good brand perception, largest wealth manager in the world, growth potential

Cons

Low pay, too much bureaucracy, too many politics, lack of leadership, poor communication, front runner in many regulatory initiatives, wrong power shift between front and back office

Pros

I work in a great wealth management group, I'm the only girl in a group of 3 other guys and it a great atmosphere. Outside of my group there is a good mix of men and women and they are all very friendly.

Cons

There is a lot of downtime if you are not licensed. Most of the work requires a license and they are hard tests. I found it difficult to meet other people in the company because they have you working in your group, takes a while to get to know everyone

Pros

Nice people to work with. Intelligible people. Caring people. Great place to learn, get trained, and gain experience. Great for entry level (then leave).

Cons

The company itself is appears awful due to the fact all decisions have to be run through Switzerland. Super cheap especially when it comes to their compliance department. They don't make counter offers...not even to their top employees. Been her four years and the CEO has had two raises (20% and 4%) while my salary has stayed the same and my work had nearly tripled. Literally only promotion per compliance team is permitted. No growth here. Compliance is not where you want to apply, not unless you take more work and pats on the back as bonus currency. Let alone many of the jobs are transitioning Nashville. Seriously they will hire less experienced people with higher titles just to bring their pay to a competitive market salary and leave the current employees dry and disappointed. And remember what I said about promotions. Essentially there is no reason to be a rock star employee here.
