Pros

Pay, hours, people, investments, research

Cons

Teams somewhat compete against each other. Technology wasn't too great all proprietary for the most part. Not much room for advancement unless you bring in assets.

Pros

Nice offices at Liverpool Street, I came from CS so the fact that UBS saved us from collapse and immediate job loss was very appreciated, Even though it was compulsory and the Swiss government gave them no other option, they treated us OK with a fair redundancy package in the UK.

Cons

The EA role at UBS was very basic. There was very little encouragement to have an entrepreneurial approach and take on work outside of the very generic EA job description. The day was spent moving meetings around that no one wanted to attend and ultimately got cancelled, it was quite soul destroying. This could be because ultimately they knew they were getting rid of all the CS heritage Executives and therefore the CS heritage EAs and therefore didn't want to invest any time in developing our careers which is fair enough.
